Our History

July 1989....James Potter and Alexandra Wright organised a basketball session at the Brentwood Centre - 5 of their local church youth group turned up and Living In Victory (LIV) Basketball was founded.

February 1993....A professional basketball player from the USA called Kevin Singleton visited our growing club and this began an international relationship that would eventually lead us to become Champions Academy 13 years later

October 1993....Brentwood Fire u14's enter the National Basketball League and we soon realise the level we need to reach competing against London teams who beat us by over 50pts

September 1995....James Potter begins taking basketball into the primary schools of Brentwood on a weekly basis. St Mary's and St Peter's are the first to accept this new exciting opportunity.

October 1997....Based at Hedley Walter School (Sawyers College) LIV creates a monthly league for year 6 aged school teams. The league is named PRIME-TIME and consists of about 6 teams.

1998...... coming soon.
